The Sepang International Circuit (SIC) has brought motorsports in Malaysia to greater heights. Various international events such as the recently concluded second race of this year’s Formula One as well as the MotoGP and Super GT Japan, has enabled us typical Malaysians to have a taste of some world class racing.
No doubt that motorsports is an expensive hobby, not only racing itself but to be a spectator as well. Formula One tickets are easy to come by, but to be close to the machines and drivers would require certain paddock club passes which mere mortals like us may not get so easily. The thirst for motorsports seems unquenchable, but even for the ardent couch fan should at least savour the opportunity to be close to racing cars and experience Sepang at its best.
MegaLAP Time Attack gives not only grassroots racers the chance to drive in Sepang, but also for spectators and enthusiasts from all backgrounds to join in the fun. During Round 1 we have seen not only adrenalin-charged guys hanging around the pits ogling at the cars, but also the ladies, children and even the matured. Even more so during Round 2 where we will be having more stuff in and around the pits to make it a family affair.
So what are you waiting for? Mark the date 21st April 2012 in your diary and make it a point to have some fun in Sepang and let the inner child loose!
