Last Sunday, 11 cars from the Malaysian Skyline Club (MSC) made it to Bukit Putus to join with a couple of more cars from the Malaysian Touge Network (MTN) to have a recon run. We made our way from Kuala Lumpur and arrived just short of 10am. StarFresh Agropark was the rendezvous point with the guys from MTN arriving shortly after. We had a round of drinks before heading out onto the course.

The recon run was planned much earlier, to have a look at the course one week prior to the MegaHILL event. Yes, the roads are dangerous with many sharp corners to catch the unawares. Dried leaves and minor construction work created a challenge for the drivers last Sunday as the mainly predominant rear-wheel driven cars were sliding in certain areas.
But no, this is no Green Hell and certainly safe to drive for those who have the skills and restraint to manage their egos and adrenaline.
There is not much time left before this Sunday, drivers from Singapore and Malaysia will battle it out for points as well while trying to tame the MegaHILL. Sepang may not be enough for those who genuinely crave for speed and enjoy driving; Bukit Putus is the perfect place that is up to the challenge and will determine which drivers have the balls to go fast safely, and separates the boys from the men.
